Further growth for LUMESCA Group with the acquisition of specialist photographic supplier to the UK education and public sector market
LUMESCA Group Limited has today announced the acquisition of established B2B photographic supplier, Keyphoto Limited, continuing their growth strategy. Following LUMESCA Group’s recent acquisition of The Flash Centre (TFC) in November 2020, Keyphoto is a complementary addition to the TFC business providing LUMESCA Group with a stronger position to service key B2B markets with a full range of photographic equipment and services.
Keyphoto is an established photographic supplier to the UK education and public institution market. Formed in 1989, the company grew from an export lead operation to one that built its success supplying and supporting photographic departments in universities, colleges and public institutions across the UK.
In line with our core values and growth strategy, acquiring businesses with specialist industry expertise and a resolute focus on servicing customers is integral, and Keyphoto is no exception. Keyphoto brings synergies for both our TFC business and the wider LUMESCA Group as we are known for our independent technical advice and for delivering market-leading products, services and education for individuals and businesses.
Geoffrey Clements, Managing Director of LUMESCA Group.
B2B customers have been at the heart of the Keyphoto business for a long time, with the company specialising in meeting their specific needs through its product range, customer service, employees, and business processes. As well as supplying a full range of products, the company also offers specialist services for its institutional customers. These services range from repair facilities to darkroom or turnkey studio installations, trade-in programmes and second-hand equipment support.
Education customers, both teaching staff and students, benefit from product training and workshops regularly supported by photographic equipment manufacturers. Keyphoto offers a near-unique route to market for many of the UK suppliers of specialist products.
Joining forces with LUMESCA and TFC will mean that Keyphoto has an even more powerful line-up of products and services. Benefitting from increased marketing and communication will make customers even more aware of the great relationship and support that Keyphoto has to offer
Axel Flaig, Keyphoto Managing Director
Keyphoto will continue to trade under its current name, with the full support of LUMESCA Group and Axel Flaig continuing to manage the business during the transition and integration phase with the group.
