Calibrite Introduces a New Standard in Calibration Devices for Next-Generation Displays

Calibrite, LLC introduces a new era in display measurement technology with three brand-new devices. The new Display Plus HL and Display Pro HL feature ground-breaking high-luminance sensors designed for more accurate calibration and profiling, most significantly, of mini-LED and OLED displays. Calibrite’s new Display Plus HL measures super bright displays all the way up to 10,000 nits (cd/m2). Calibrite has also upgraded its entry-level device to complement the range; the Display SL is designed for SDR (standard dynamic range) monitors, now measuring up to 1,000 nits. These new HL and SL colorimeters from Calibrite are powered by X-Rite and backed by decades of display and colour science research, engineered to keep pace with rapidly advancing technology.

These new devices move us into a new world of measurement capacity as we continue to bring the very best technology available to the video, photo, and design industries.”
– Brenda Hipsher, VP of Sales and Marketing for Calibrite.

Brand new devices. Brand new software. Calibrite is setting the new standard.

Emerging display technologies requires measurement devices with far greater accuracy than ever. Calibrite is on the cutting edge of this rapid transition. Calibrite Display Plus HL measures up to 10,000 nits, five times the measurement capacity of the current Display Plus device, making it the preferred calibration device for mini-LED, OLED, and super bright displays, including Apple XDR technology. Display Plus HL is the top-of-the-line solution for filmmakers, editors, designers, photographers, and creatives who need to see deep into shadow areas when preparing video or still files for viewing on the latest display technology devices. It covers broadcast video standards, NTSC, PAL SECAM and ITU-R Rec.709, as well as BT.1886 tone curve for Rec.2020 – the standard for HDTV. Calibrite also recommends the Display Plus HL for SDR and HDR applications. It is the ultimate tool for the most discerning professionals who require the largest measurement capacity possible.

The new Calibrite Display Pro HL features a significant increase in luminance measurement capacity allowing accurate measurement of displays up to 3000 nits, including Apple XDR technology, triple that of the current Display Pro device. Calibrite Display Pro HL is the go-to solution for photographers and digital artists using advanced photo editing displays, including many manufacturers who offer their own software and need a measurement device to calibrate and create profiles for these photo editing displays.

The latest Calibrite PROFILER software supports the three brand-new devices, achieving up to 30% faster calibration than previous software. The newest feature of PROFILER is the addition of projector calibration; in just a few clicks, users can effortlessly create a custom profile for projectors or large panel displays, ensuring optimal colour accuracy and image quality. Calibrite PROFILER also offers completely customisable features for the new Plus HL and Pro HL devices. Users can take precise control of White Point, Luminance, Contrast Ratio and Gamma, making the most of the new HL sensors.

All three devices feature a USB-C connection, guaranteeing seamless compatibility with modern computer connections, and come with a USB-A adapter to accommodate legacy devices. A convenient storage/carry pouch comes with each device, ensuring easy access wherever anyone takes their Calibrite device. Calibrite has also eliminated all plastic and oversized packaging, instead opting for smaller and fully recyclable packaging, minimising waste and reducing overall environmental impact.

Display technology is advancing rapidly, and Calibrite is ready. Ready with advanced colour measurement devices designed to keep pace with the present and the future, accurately measuring new, evolving, and emerging display panel technology.

The new Display devices are available for pre-order, with shipping starting from 3rd July. Pricing begins at £159.
